Helmet music questions
I don't like ear buds in a helmet, and I have no use for rider to rider coms, don't want to blue tooth to cell phone. ALL I want is a fm radio receiver that mounts on my helmet and speakers in the pockets in my helmet, that's all I really want! What suggestions do you have for me? Sena is loaded with features I will probably never use or want, looking at fodsport on Amazon as well, but I just want fm radio on helmet. Suggestions please

You are too simple. Like me. You'll likely not find something so basic as a helmet mounted device with only what you want. I had to get a phone with 75 features that I can't/won't ever use, just to get one with calling, texting & GPS. I'm probly going back to a flip phone if this one ever dies on me. If they even still make such a thing any longer.

Your preference creates a problem - most mini radios are only sufficiently powered to drive ear buds.
To drive speakers in your helmet, you're likely going to have to buy a larger radio unit and run wires to the speakers in the helmet. Speakers require amplification up from the signal level that drives ear buds.
Using a mini FM receiver, you could drive self-powered speakers (which has a built-in amplifier), but that configuration is not likely to be helmet friendly.
Perhaps speaker technology has gone beyond that...
For safety, I would never implement speakers. I would expect compromised safety even with one ear bud that is blasting music, distracting from being - 100% alert - Which requires that you ride as though every driver (and animal) is out to kill you.

I bought Nolan because they have n-com integration. I don't know if they can be added to other crash helmets.
Their comms devices have FM radio but I don't use it. It would be very expensive if that is all you want.

Ordered a cheap intercom with built in fm receiver, it was cheap enough to toss it if I don't like it.

I always believed that I needed the max from all of my senses while out riding in order to maximize my chances of staying alive, especially in traffic. Bottom line, sometimes bikers can be their own worst enemy.

Back in 1976, I had a Honda CB360T I mounted a Realistic AM radio on with 1 speaker. Other riders thought that was cool at the time.Hahahaha
