Default Velocity Stack S&S Super E

Hello! Has anybody seen that kind of velocity stack for the S&S Super E before? Can someone enlighten me?

I've never seen that style before but found this. Looks similar? The adapter between the carb and stack in your pic may be custom.

Why? Is the outer end of a super E different if it's on a shovelhead vs a sportster?

So far no one has identified exactly what that stack is. Any picture I've found that looks like that one doesn't have that exact piece between the carb and velocity stack.

So it might be available like that or someone may have adapted it to fit like that. Who knows? No one has yet confirmed that.

Not OT, but: other than appearance, why use one?

Mainly this makes only sense on dragstrip with setup of dragpipes and a well tuned engine. There is only a small range of rmp where the engine runs well for maximum output of horsepower with this setup for the dragstrip.
