Rant On...
pushed it on the trailer after the starter windings shorted out after I rode to breakfast... I've come to the conclusion that the OEM harley starter was the best... 17 years and no issues then sink it in salt water in hurricane Irma and I haven't got a replacement to last longer than 18 months... I have a milk crate full of them... the ring and the contactors eat themselves. Yes I've replaced them only to have the starter windings go south or the clutch to fail or the solenoid windings to dead short or the bearings go out of the motor... this time the solenoid is fine but there is dead short in the starter winding... So last week I ordered a 1.4Kw All Balls starter cause the starter made a funny sound... if that dont work Im gonna buy a brand new MOCO unit if they are available and put a Kicker on the bitch and fix it for the next 20 years... then i prolly wont care...
Rant OFF..

Got my annual road worthiness test (MoT in UK). Passed with no advisories but he did mention that the front pads will need changing in about 2000 miles. I already have a set of sintered pads to put in it.
