First time running bike in the 1/4
Buddy and I ran our Sportsters for the first time in the 1/4. Previously did an outing at a sub 1/8th mile track. Bike is a basic 1275 setup with 106rwhp. It weighed in at 535 lbs and track was about +2500 DA. My best ET was 11.80, best trap speed was 117. My 60 foots averaged 2.0 A regear is in order as I either had to shift into 5th right before the traps or ride the limiter. I think there’s lots more in it, mainly me. I kept giving it more and more on the launch but it wasn’t translating to a better 60. It lightly spun 1 or 2 passes and bogged a few. Bike has no tach or anything, is a ride it an hour there, race it, ride it an hour home kinda deal. Was running street tires with 30 psi out back. Wondering what launch techniques or suggestions you have?
I’m in the background, my buddy in the foreground.

Looks like fun. Never raced personally but many here have. Hopefully they will chime in with suggestions.

I did the other day. Dunno what’s going on unless the message limit was decreased from 25 to something else?

This is what I get:
wrkdWS6 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.
It's total stored messages (sent also) not just what's in your inbox.
