It's all give and take, push and shove, you make a gain here and something over there breaks. You could spend a lifetime chasing this stuff and never win.

When I put one together I just hope the stuff that breaks is easy and cheap to replace and doesn't break something else when it fails.
LOL I'm not having any luck finding cheap parts to buy. It seems everything I want cost an arm and a leg.

I have been a big fan of Leineweber cams for years! Used them in race motors and have built alot of street bike engines for customers and have never had any problems with beat up valve trains like you guys describe? One customer has over 100,000 miles on a 100" shovelhead with a Leineweber
L3S cam and the cam and lifters are fine! Jim Leineweber couldn't sell this stuff for very long if it didn't work!

Lockwood engineering / Crazy Horse Speed Shop / Black Widow Camshafts received my cams 16 January. I have not had any correspondence from them yet. They could be frozen in as they were hit pretty hard shortly after receiving my cams with a severe winter storm. I'm not complaining I've had my fill of shoveling snow. lol

Found out today there's 8 or 9 work orders ahead of mine. Hopefully that's a normal workload and their not backed up real bad.

No update on cams. Engine is apart. Pistons are fit to the cylinders. Valves and springs are ordered.

Do you need magneto style 57-70 cams?
Are you kick starting it?
What size stroke and are you using S&S 3700 pistons?
What's Max lift you are looking for?
What springs are you using?
I may have something that will work for you...

The engine is a 1969 with magneto, kick and electric.
The new stroke is 4 and 5/8's with S&S 9 to 1 pistons, 3 inch 40 over
Valve springs are Kibblewhite lightweight racing springs 0.480 max lift

I have HD PB cams which I could run until either my SIFTON Titans are restored or I pick up something better.

Black Widow notified me today that my cams should be completed in 2 weeks. I can work with that.
