H-D skirted tractor seat on home made bracket, with 6" springs.

60 k miles later, still love it.

With the Sundowner seat you can still remove it with the OEM rear sissy bar and rack fitted;. It is a little tight but it does come off if you are careful.

How often do you need to remove the seat? I put hard bags on my Roadster and every time I have to put a new rear tire on, I have to remove a few extra bolts so that I can get the wheel off. Having the bags is worth the extra effort. Is having a comfortable seat not worth the effort of having to take the sissy bar and rack off occasionally?

I tend to remove the seat when washing / waxing the bike. And compared to stock the Sundowner is comfortable although I think the Mustang is likely better.

Keep in mind where the seat sits you, forward or back. The Sundowner Solo for the 2010-later XL's sits you back. It's sits me back like my LePera Daytona Daddy Long Legs. The earlier Sundowner and the Mustang's don't move you back.
