Default Fork oil

So I'm putting on a wide front end with 6+ legs. I know how to find stock oil amount but how much extra for the +6 over?

The same as stock I would of thought.
You only changed the tubes correct? Slider travel is still the same.

Yes, aftermarket progressive but stock springs just with cut to length buffers.

I'd add 2oz over the stock spec, just to keep the damper rods submerged. It won't matter much, when the front end is raked they don't really work as intended. If they're +6" tubes only add 5" of spring preload (over stock) with longer spacers. It's a geometry thing.

Lol. I cut the spacer spring to tube mouth plus stock over. It turned out to be a 9" spacer overall.

been down this road
mr. tomcatt is mucho correct as it does effect operation of not only the shock part but stall speed.
mr. davo is also mucho correct. prop up the machine forks extended and add oil till the dampner assy is covered by about 1/2 inch, easy to see with flashlight.
on the oil amount, it does matter. IF the fork is vented, not much issue but the hd fork is not vented, so why does that matter??
excessive oil will reduce air space and this can effect dampening and travel.
