Lubricating the clutch lever (and the cable if yours isn't lined) also helps a ton with getting the adjustment right.

My clutch lever is not the type that has those type of bushings, the cable itself is well oiled, I have a hydraulic oiler tool for this job.
Another mystery to solve.

I guess then that it is not the original setup? The parts catalog 99451-85A shows that the bushings should be there right up to 1985
