fingers crossed, I chose light smoke, not dark, since my bike is lighter in general. I dont think it looks AWESOME but I dont think it looks bad either. I much prefer the naked look. but naked isn't comfortable imo on highway.
And when you get caught in the rain it will shield your upper body. Your legs from the knee down are another story. (They make gaiters for them.)

I have a quick release Harley windshield. It clips onto the forks around the headlight. Maybe not the best looking. But that's individual taste. Younger guys like the sportier look of the bikini and gauntlet style fairings. But I like the comfort of the full windshield. Even if my friends laugh at me and call me Ponch.

When my mother gave me the sportster, she included saddle bags, and the clip on harley windshield quick disconnect and a sundowner seat.

I gave away the bags seat and shield, the shield forced ungodly amount of concentrated wind right into my face/helmet. It was better without it in that instance for me.

It’s been raining every single day here and forecasted to not stop for a week unfortunately. I am a dry only rider so I will be patient

I don't ride without my compact HD detachable windshield.....makes life and riding way more enjoyable for me.....but then again, I rarely go over 45 and ride in scenic areas around Ocala, FL Been riding since the 50s and only 3 cycles have had windshields, this Sportster is the first motorcycle that I have bought tires for......(2 sets) none of my previous motorcycles had over 4k miles when traded in....this Sportster has over 16k....I traded a lot in the past.....but this 1200C is perfect for me and I am keeping it.

I took it out earlier, I was a little worried at first, at like 20mph I felt like it was actually worst, but I hacvnt rode in a while. gf and me went out, and got on the highway. oh man! SO MUCH BETTER. like, I was going 80mph instead of the 65-70 and it felt like I had less wind than at 80-90. (I dont normally speed, but was testing the aero of windshield). entire dead space in front of me, I felt like there was a hair more noise during my music (wireless ear buds) maybe the pressure is slightly higher from being compressed going around my head but I was worried it would be a waste of money.

this got a thumbs up for me, my gf put her hands in front of me, and there was zero resistance, waving them around to feel, just no air. its really crazy how they get as much wind pressure decrease as they do from these tiny windshields. but ive had 3 of them now, 2 on sport bikes and now one on Harley. they've done me well.

here's my little weird looking windshield. I could of picked clear, light smoke, dark smoke, black. I chose light smoke, since my bike is light chrome/blue, some black. I think light smoke would look alright and I dont mind it at all.

Tried several over the years on many different bikes. Would not use one
I couldn't see over, and if I could see over it, it caused EXTREME helmet
buffeting. Flyscreens look good on some bikes, but I prefer the Sportster
without anything. Mine came with a tall clip on windshield that I could
barely see over. Wind almost blew my head off on the way home. It's still
in the closet. Too expensive to throw away. Might someday find someone
who wants it.

I like it, but I don't think that a windshield is necessary on a motorcycle. Maybe we just have difference preferences.

They suck. I like fly screens though.
