I just found out this afternoon I now have a scheduling conflict for the middle part of next week.

I'm going to have to postpone my Rt6 ride to another time - Which also means I won't be making it to the Allegheny NP...

I might be able to get a ride in on Monday, but I can't be away for the rest of the week.

I hope all those making it to NW PA will have good weather - and enjoy a good time...

Hey Paul, what time should I expect you and Greg to roll in on Monday?

I may be bringing/riding the bike home on Monday. If all went well I could still sneak out for a day or two? We’ll see.

Yea you’re right. It wasn’t nice. That’s why I only had a small smile on my face when I posted it. Paul’s absence will be felt.

Unless the forecast changes in the next 12 hours, I'll be staying home. Sorry Mick & Greg. I'll let you know for sure this evening. By text.

Looked at three different weather sites and got three different forecast.
Bringing my rain gear and hoping for the best.

Short after action report.

Weather predictions were filled with rain, only getting worse up to departure. I ain't scared, lol.

Left in the dark Monday morning. When the sun was supposed to be up it was cloudy and pretty dark looking in the distance. Four hours across Ohio into PA with no rising sun blinding me, BONUS! No rain, excellent. Off the slab for a nice ride through the mountains to camp. Light traffic with only one short 'camper delay'.

Nice campground! Close to the road, but almost no traffic outside the morning commute.

Brief shower setting up camp. Tuesday was beautiful and we went on a 300ish miles ride Mick had planned. Great ride! Little to no traffic, there were times we went miles without passing an oncoming vehicle. Mostly great pavement very few crossroads. Just miles of curvy hilly roads along rivers through the mountains. Gas and food were limited along the route. Most smaller towns seemed to be out of business. My GPS showed lots of gas and restaurants, but many were closed, and looked like they had been for a while.

Wednesday was rainy, but it was scattered like the mountains down south. If we had to go somewhere, it was certainly possible. Didn't mind a rest day though.

Thursday was beautiful, cool and sunny to start home. Enjoyed some more, different, roads out of PA back to the turnpike. Nothing against Ohio, but I have been across so many times I don't mind just skipping it on the turnpike to save an hour or two.

It was a great trip, wish a few others had been able to tag along. I would go back again for sure. Thanks Mick!
