Yes, inquiring minds want to know!

The things my dad allowed me to experiment with, in addition to what he taught me, are priceless. Thankful to have him around for 71 of my 73 years.

I learnes the intake seals were leaking so I replaced those last weekend and now have a good seal. Well it helped tame it down and smooth the idle and runs a lot better but it is now showing the "check engine" light on the speedometer. When I first started it up the tachometer is intermittent for a few minutes and then works correctly after about 3-5 minutes warming up. It will die suddenly like the ignition was lost occasionally and I ran the code it was displaying on the speedometer and it came back to a MAP sensor. I done a cross reference on the OEM MAP sensor part number and found one online for 20 bucks. It arrived today. Its odd how it never showed a MAP sensor code until replacing the intake seals but they were definitely leaking. Ive cleaned and tightend the cables and the battery is hot
Has anyone had any experience with the ignitions and sensors on a 99 1200S? I'm a decent mechanic but not experinced in ECM diagnosis. I appreciate any input you have.
