Default Stock exhaust set-up

1972 xlch

Bought original exhaust parts for the bike, has drag pipes now. Wondering how the stock exhaust mounts to the support tubes, doesn't work with the mount tube I've got now.

Anyone have stock exhaust photos, maybe this is a typical problem returning to stock set up? Thanks.

Which exhaust: the independent duals or the interconnected muffler?
