As if this were limited to this particular forum? At least here this is an assumption that someone with an Ironhead has some basic understanding of mechanical stuff or else they have a lot of friends who do, or maybe just a lot of friends who are laughing at them because they can't believe he was dumb enough to buy a vintage HD without any tools or sense whatsoever. Want to see real dumb posters? Go read a few dozen threads on a Jeep forum, anyone can go buy a new JL, slap a stupid "mean eyes" front grille on it and start asking questions about gear swapping their axles so they can run 37s but they can't afford a lift yet they just love huge tires bro!

On seconf thoughts ......

Maybe I like this place the way it is.

But there are guys new to all of this. IH's wrenching and forums.

You can tell that by their posts. Often beginning with "Sorry, I don't know how to post pics....."

There's a very good chance that the answer they seek is in the sticky's. But then again if they used them we would lose the argy bargy back and forth we seem to like so much.

All the info anyone needs to know about me is in my logo if you look.

Kangaroo on a bike on it's back wheel with a checkered flag in one hand and a beer in the other.

What more information could anyone possibly want ?

This is the worst, and is a simple matter of etiquette to provide some manner of conclusion when they present a problem.

Ironheads make mechanics of riders just as Moto Guzzis make electricians of riders.
