And sorry if I sounded critical of anybody. It;s just my way of trying to improve stuff. I read some posts and think - the guy is floundering. I'll try to help.

But far too often we're at ground zero and it seems like these guys are paying for the information by the word.

Maybe I am too old. I have 5 friends.

Who, what, where, when and why.

Give me that information and I can help you fix your problem.

Well, ........ not every problem. The Meth thing you have to figure out yourself.

And anyway, I never try to be hard on people who know less than me. Either of them.

I was once young and thought I knew everything.
Now that I am older I realize I know very little but have years of experience to steer me.

My only concerns are bad answers to good questions. Or electrical diagnostics by wire color.

I don't try to be too helpful, and I'll jump in if things go off the rails. Or if I see something others have missed. Or if one of my pet peeves gets hit on.
My biggest pet peeves (besides drag pipes) is patch jobs or work-arounds. My second peeve is guys that will spend hours in a forum yet not buy a manual.
Most of what I have learned comes from manuals, the rest is avoiding previous mistakes.

They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm hard headed

Yeah I have a question for you regarding drags, check your PMs.

Right there with you on manuals, yes they can be pricey but they will also save you a huge amount of effort in the long and short run.

I can appreciate a little creatively engineered work-around, but only as a short term get-you-home kind of fix. As I've learned restoring I-4 japanese motorcycles, while pods and Dunstall repop mufflers make it look like a cafe' racer, the engineers pretty much had their math right on the money when it comes to air-fuel ratio using the airbox and factory pipes, and dumb-a$$ me is not capable of making that bike run any better.

I have to admit. I love the way they sound. I love the way they look.

I am about to install my first ever set of straight through drag pipes on a street bike to share them with my neighbors.

PM's for subjects that should be shared are another of my peeves!

Cycle Shack slip on mufflers are the bomb.

You don't want a closed up muffler like the current stock mufflers
And you don't want straight-through muffler.

Why cant a 2:1 pipe work on a hard tail?
you just have to give it some attitude, make it bratty!

Being computer literate. I find this problem all over the net.

Whether shyness, ignorance, laziness, or what ever/ It is a forum thing.

Some folks genuinely wanna fix things. Some are just plain lonely. There is no fixing this.
