Thanks to both of you! Any preference between the cast and moly top rings? Pros and cons? I never had to choose one or the other and don't know the difference.

Cast rings are the best for wearing in and conforming to worn bores. They’ve been the basic ring for a long time and usually give good service life.

Moly has oil retention ability, resists micro welding and has high resistance to scuffing. IMO, Moly is the best ring overall in a freshly prepped cylinder. The Hastings rings in that set are premium ductile rings... a very good set of rings.

Chrome rings are the best for dirty air... dust that might get through the filtration. They have the highest resistance to abrasive wear. They lack the oil retention of a moly ring, but do have good scuff resistance. They are more frequently used for off road and dirt track.

I did not read the ebay ad close enough and received a NOS set for one piston. I placed an order with Summit Racing for a pair to pistons. If you are interested in the NOS set for one piston let me know. thanks
