I'd guess you're more around 115 with a properly made gauge then. You're rings might be wore but not as bad as you think.

Hhmmm, I should have been more clear in my previous post. If you are running a Mikuni or a Keihin CV then there is no choke. These have an enrichener so leave it alone. For a carb with a choke the choke is fully open when the choke knob/lever is not engaged.

If the engine is not fully warmed up then 115 is very good

Not familiar with it. Having that valve in the hose at the head is a mandatory feature for at least a fairly accurate reading.

Gotcha...but now it leads me back to square 1...why is it so hard to start...
