Got the gaskets on the way.
I got silicone grease.
If water works best I’ll try that.
Got carburetor bath solution and spray.
Wondering if I had them right from the start, meaning will I need to adjust the carb jetting again. Not focused on that right now, one step at a time. I’ve got to get it right this time.

Check out the section on carb to manifold alignment.
You'll want to do the Idle Drop Method of adjustment for the best idle & transfer operation - AFTER the new seals are in place & leak-free.
