Here is some interesting information that I found regarding the two types of bearings.

Makes the case for using the axial (angular) bearing instead of the deep groove bearing.

Deep groove is "can use", axial/angular is "should use".

I actually don’t see my removing the FAG bearing and replacing it with the ceramic radial bearing as a bad thing, but rather a good thing, in that, it may have the potential of being another good option for end users. There are already several people running FAG or equivalent brand bearings to serve as test-beds for those bearings, but none (that I have been able to find) that have tried the setup that I will be experimenting with. Having said that, I will definitely share the results of my testing once I am back up and running.
I didn't mean you did a "bad thing". I simply said you didn't give the FAG bearing a chance. After the first ride, if it didn't turn out like you wanted, you could easily change it out for the bearing you have in the bike now.

To NGOT8R,

Thanks for your quick reply. I understand your concern due to your recent extensive mechanical failure. The wobble/play of the bearing does seems unusual to me also, as we have previously discussed. My thoughts compare with experiences of other basic type bearings and I have no experience in the requirements of this type of bearing for clutch useage which may warrant this amount of play/movement for clutch action. I also appreciate and have read the link you posted for the Bearings information. Thank you.
wrkdWS6, Thanks for the information of your experience and vote of confidence with the Fag 7200B. I will place the bearing in when i install the E1 clutch.
Ride Safe guys.
