Here's a guess. If there is a dozen Chinese companies supplying a locker kit the brass tube is a stock size and nothing special.

Can you get a tube in by just removing the single bolt or does the whole rocker assembly have to be removed?

Try it and let us know. I had to pull a couple of sleeves thru. Might get an oil leak un torquing 1 bolt at a time.

The Rocker Locker brass tubes are tapered. Pretty sure you need to pull the assembly to install with the bolt and nut they supply.

there are a couple of places where a sealant such as RTV may be used.
The rocker covers are not one of them.
get the proper gasket kit from HD.
ensure that all surfaces are clean and free from dirt and grease.
install with proper procedures.
if they leak either they're warped (Check on a piece of plate glass)
or they weren't installed properly.
never needed to use RTV..

Another thing to check for noise on a solidmount..
Gas cap.. put your hand on it while riding..
Sound go away ?

I had to install a leather ring under mine to keep it from rattling.

Someone might have looked at the problem the same as I am asking a question on whether it can be done.

What do you mean pull a couple of sleeves through, I thought they got pressed in by doing a bolt up?

I forgot to post a follow up. I installed the rocker lockers and resealed the pushrod tubes and rocker boxes. My engine is much quieter now. Still some top end noise, but I don't think a Sporty will ever be silent. Running great, and I'm very happy with the results.

To answer one of the questions asked - yes, they can be installed without removing the rocker boxes. Search youtube... I followed the instructions and used a nut and bolt to install them. It's a super easy job.

a company that needs to trash their competition to sell their product may not have a good enough product

Like the way that guy who invented intermittent wipers trash talked the car mfg. who stole them from him?
The Court awarded him $$$ millions.
