Default Problem with Front cylinder

I am having a problem with my front cylinder fouling my plugs and running poorly to where it makes the exhaust pop. I am running out of ideas of what it could be. So far I have cleaned and rebuilt the carb, set the float correctly. I have adjusted the push rods. Did a compression test, both cylinders at 120..checked the plug wires, replaced the plugs today. It used to be a 1 to 2 kick start now its taking up to 12 kicks...also noticed some white smoke blow back from the carb. I am out of ideas...ignition coils maybe?

I installed new o rings when I rebuilt the carb. Checked for leaks with propane and got no response from the engine. So I ruled that out.

is your battery in good health? i would still check the timing, and since you mentioned checking the push rods, i would re-visit that as well. one thing at a time, then test - systematically...

I just put a fresh battery in couple days ago due to a generator problem that I eventually figured out ...haha. The pushrods I did today...so that leaves the timing which I can check tomorrow.

Well solved the problem. Like a dummy I removed the distributor to fit a carb support on and when I put it back in I did not reset the timing correctly. Problem solved! Thanks for the help doodah man!
