Default Cam side case vent by Generator noise: Normal

Ok here's my current thoughts and paranoia on a sound I'm hearing:

Machine:
1980 Ironhead

Problem:
Cam breather by generator noise

History:
The valve is different than 77 and later models this I know. 78-79 had the Foo Foo valve and this I also know. My valve or breather exit is at 9 o'clock. It's a barb that is supposed to be routed to the air cleaner. No thanks. It's vented to the atmosphere on mine, and I located it by the chain through a 2' hose used as somewhat of an oiler because the vent blows "some" oily vapor.

What is crrently going on:
The breather is puffing a light amount of air. That's good I believe. Shows it's "breathing" or venting. This May I had an issue with my top end. Fixed it. But I also noticed that the sound my breather hose is making did it the whole time before I had any issues. After I rebuilt it I didn't notice the noise anymore: "pew pew pew pew pew" and when you shut it off... a long slow "pewwwwwwww". In the high pitch variety haha! Well the sound is back after about 2000 miles tops. Also, this sound occurred with NO hose on it before, and with the hose now. Same sound. An embarrassing "choo choo pew pew" sound lol

Side Notes:
I do have a custom built oil tank. I made it. YES it IS vented. I know it is because I also made a fill tube cap where I routed my rear crank breather to. Didn't want to rout it to the tank for fear it may be blocked by oil. It's good, I also hear a light spitter of air going to it.

The return: I have a remote oil filter mounted. I did previously verify the oil was indeed returning to the tank. I also checked today if the tank was feeding. Pulled the feed fitting, with cap on as it is on in running operation, and it poured oil out. Not dripped, it poured. So I'm confident I'm feeding and returning oil. As for pressure: I ditched the gage I installed. It only made me pull over every 5 miles to check that I was in fact feeding oil. It doesn't produce enough pressure or the gage I have is junk. Or both haha

One more thing. I also notice a little more hissing than usual from my Keihin CV carb at the air filter. Air filter is mounted to be open so I can draw more air in and get my mixture right. It's spot on. The tannest sexiest plugs you'll ever see.

So my question is: Why did the noise just now come back? And are these noises normal? I'm thinking everything is fine. But I don't wanna rebuild the top end again! Just in case this noise is telling me, HEY! Fix this now! I'm gonna blow up again! Haha

Thanks everyone for your input

Update*

Bike sat for 3 hours. Started it. Let it warm up then I goosed the throttle. High rev twist a small amount of white smoke cane out of the front pipe. Now I don't have valve seals on the guides. So possibly a small amount of oil dripped down and burnt off. I also only let it run for about 5 minutes and I think as I goosed the throttle the smoke decipated. Gonna do a compression check tonight when I get home and check for smoke when she's hot and has been running awhile

Did compression check at home. 125psi in both cylinders. No one has replied so I'll make it simple then haha

How much "puffing" is normal on the breather located by the generator?
I can feel the air with my finger from approximately 3" away.

Other than the annoying sound bike is running fine. Although something is amiss currently. Probably need to adjust my timing, check for leaks at the intake and air cleaner and keep an eye on my plugs because I did notice they are darker than the other day. They were spot on tan just 24 hours ago. Also my air cleaner filter is dirty. Cleaning it today after work and running through all the ignition and intake
