Default '07 short negative cable -

i have an '07 and was installing battery for riding season and that *#*#!^ short negative battery cable really bothered me. i removed the stock cable from the engine ground stud, pulled the cable out and -
i tightened the stock cable to negative battery terminal with the cable running (kinda) parallel with top of battery towards primary side and ground stud (behind primary side & clutch shell). i wire tied neg. cable to the positive cable hopefully lessening vibration from loosing negative terminal.
i ran the cable down where the gas tank vapor valve snaps in and wire tied it and then bolted it to the ground stud, the one behind primary side, clutch shell.
i took the vapor line off and ran 5/16 fuel line from the plastic vent line down below swing arm and installed vapor valve (yes, facing correct direction) at the bottom end of the hose.
my battery cover has some wiggle room because the clips were drilled so i could use small tie wraps to hold cover on.
the stock cable is a bit too long now so i will make a shorter cable from #2 welding cable.
mods, i'm sorry if something like this was posted before i did search and did not find anything like this.
also - sorry no pix & for the poor grammar

use a welding cable whip lead, very flexible, just crimp on connections, excess will fold nicely or even better yet, a electrical bonding strap, use one on the ch as it passes between battery and cover.

I like the idea. I have a larger 18ah AGM battery that will fit sideways if the neg. cable is longer. Thanks.
