Keep us posted. Would love to see what you do. I probably won't be hardtailing mine any time soon, too much other stuff going on. But eventually definitely.

Any input on some purpose built hardtail frames out there?

I recall 47 industries, but I can't remember if they only do weld ons or not? I did talk to the guy that owns that company. Super helpful and friendly guy.
There are so many options out there.

47 definitely does weld ons. I think they make the best looking of the bunch as well. The owner has a great reputation for quality and hard work in the chopper community.

You will also hear Haifley Bros and Road 6 from the "hardcore" chopper guys. Hammer In Hand is another that comes to mind. There are the more mass produced options like TC Bros, Lowbrow, etc.

I will be looking at those first 4 brands I mentioned and keeping an eye out for the best deal.

Addon. But sounds like customer input is also considered wen building addon.

No real progress on mine yet. I have been looking around craigslist and fleabay for a good deal, though. I am ready to pounce when I see it. There are a surprising number of deals on instagram as well.

Still working on simplifying wiring and the front end at this point. There is a lot that goes into these builds and I am trying to do it one at a time while keeping the bike functional (it's my only ride at the moment), but I knew I could be putting myself in the position to do the ol' one step forward, two steps back once I get around to the frame.

That is a very intriguing option. I will definitely be reaching out to them.

Do you know much about their reputation and craftsmanship?

Here in rattle snake country. Naw.

Edit: Kraft Tech s my fav.

Budget wise and build wise. Used a paucho softail frame on another build back in the 90's. Not a bad frame either till you wreck it.
