I have always done the same on my 08 low...and it does depend on how and where I drive.

City driving will only get me 30-31 mpg.
Rural pleasure rides will get me 36-37 mpg.
Highway only (slab trips) will get me over 47pg.

Most all of my riding anymore is a mix of some city with a lot of rural miles.
On average I am getting 33.8 mpg. So I fill up around 120 and she will take 3.3 to 3.5 gallons.

Yep, Idiot Light comes on after around 95 miles or so - as a result the most I've ever put on board at a fill is 3.2 US Gallons

NB: Idiot Light was replaced under warranty because coming on VERY inconsistently. It is now consistent, but comes on way too low!

I did a there and back trip last weekend of approx 170km (105 miles) each way. Whilst the wind wasn't very strong, it was a tail-wind going and head-wind coming back - I used 7.47 Litres (1.97Gallon) going and 11.34 Litres (3Gallon) coming home - that's a huge difference for similar speeds (of around 120kph / 75mph) on these long straight roads.

Estimated max range, based on historical data, is 215 miles. Converted to kilometers that would be ... roughly ... 215 miles worth of kilometers. with that said I figure I could pull close to 180 out of a tank. Most I have ever put in the tank was 3.4 gallons, rode 154 miles, and got 45.4 miles to the gallon.

That's just about what I'm getting with mine after a Stage 1.(low to mid 40's for MPG.
Before the Stage 1 the idiot light would not come on 135-140 miles.
Near as I can figure I lost about 5 MPG when I went to Stage 1.
Wondering if this is pretty typical.

I've had stage 1 on mine since new, so don't know the before gas milage, but with the stage 1, plus X14iEDs, and a bigger K&N air filter, I usually get almost 50 mpg mostly riding the 2 lane older mountain blacktop roads... Light when acting right comes on @ +/-130 mi., I try to top off by +/-150 mi. and it usually takes +/-3 gal. ... I'm thinkin I could make it to 180-200 mi. before runnin out, but I'm chicken on that... Some day I might carry me an extra gallon and see...lol...
Have a good one...Tater...

my fuel pump was coming on too soon & replaced(don't remember mileage) & still does, But, in the 120's to 130's now, even with the touring pack (it's heavy)I get from 47 to 52 mpg. Moseley 48 mpg. I fill up around 150miles & around 3.4 gal.

@ 180 it starts sucking air, so I fill at 175.
Hope I keep this up when I change pipes this month.
Before I changed pipes & air box, rock stock it was getting 220 to the tank.
Good thing I made it better
