Default Opinions on mufflers.

Hello friends, I was wondering if you guys had any opinions on some good and good looking mufflers. I'm currently running drag pipes which look and sound great but I don't enjoy the loss of performance. I'd prefer something different looking... such as: upswept, slash cut, cocktail shaker, etc etc... appreciate any feedback! thanks!

If you don't care about looks, go with a stock exhaust with Cycle Shack slip-ons, you'll gain a ton of mid-range. Stock with the balance tube and good mufflers is a surprisingly good performer.
I like the looks of the Bassani Road Rage with the long megaphones, personally but these are a close second.

The MotoUSA Shootout shows how well a set of Screamin' Eagle slipons do in the low end.

These produce the most torque below 4,000 rpm.

I have run either cycle shack or sreaming eagle turnouts for over twenty years . Love the sound plus decent performance . You should try to listen to as many as you can . A young girl I know has Vance and Hines slash cuts that is a nice sound . A little louder than the turn outs . If anything these will help the performance of the engine ,plus mostlikey get you better mileage .

Look on hammer performance website they have a bunch of dyno sheets of different pipes. Rush was one if not the best set of slip ons they tested. I have a set on my bike and so far I'm happy with them sound and perform well.

I had a set of Rush on my 2006C. They were the slash cut. I liked the tone and the look and it was a real simple swap. Here in Japan, you have to keep the bike pretty stock so it was easy to switch back at inspection time. I could really tell a difference when I had the stock mufflers back on it.
