Default Fender chop help

I've done a pretty thorough search and can't seem to find an answer to my issue. I cut my fender tonight and cant figure out how I'm supposed to rotate it and remount. I obviously need to drill new holes on the sides to mount it to the frame but doing that leaves my seat mounting holes cock-eyed. I'm I SOL with my seat? It seems like I've seen lots of guys chop fenders and still use a "traditional" solo seat.

This is what I'm wanting to end up with. As you can see, rotating it this way means my seat mount holes dont really line up. Maybe with a spacer of some sort but that will look pretty silly.

This is what I have now.

Are you concerned with the gap between the tire and the fender? That'll be tough to get rid of with the stock fender. Its made to be deeper there so the rear tire can float up and down with the swingarm. its not a true constant radius fender like an aftermarket would be.

This thread is over 2 weeks old, have you figured something out yet? I'd say, you need to weld some flat metal into those slots and then mark it and drill it where you want the fender to set.
