Default Yet another issue with this build

So I got it all back together and fired it up 2 days ago. All was good. Ran great, and the only noise was out of the pipes!
So I took it for a cold ride yesterday. Just a few miles. Keeping the Rs down. Varying the speeds. Accelerate, let off. By the book breakin. Stop to fill the tank and I've got oil all over the lower right side. Obviously blowing back, it appeared to be coming from the lower front cylinder area. Especially around the lower pushrod tubes area but hard to tell. So I cleaned it up. It was on the pipes. Lower fins of the cylinders and on the case and top edge of the cam cover. I'm thinking maybe one of the orings on the bottom of one of the tubes got dislodged putting the tubes back in. I had forgot to put the tubes in and while torqueing the head, realized it. Pulled the head up a little from the other side and stuck them in and lowered the head back down.
Could this be the problem and leak that much in a short 2 miles? Or what?
Pouring rain out right now. Started it briefly last night after cleaning it all up and from what I can figure, doesn't leak idling a few minutes. Pretty much has to be one of the tubes or cylinder to case or cam cover. Torqued everything back down using the same gaskets that didn't even have a mile on them.
This is going to bug me to no end til it clears up and I can hopefully figure it out before pulling the head again.

I'd bet on the pushrod tube o-rings, they're easy to cut,damage or slip out of place. Crossed fingers!

You have crankcase pressure and oil pump pressure near the bottom of the tubes.
If you have a leaky seal, it should show itself pretty quick.
You may be able to feel CC pressure at the leak when you fire it up.

Yeah im leaning towards I messed one of the orings up when I carelessly put them in from the other side holding the head up at the same time. Means pulling the head of course. I'd just like to be 100% positive before I do anything. I think the pressure has to build up some first before it leaks tho.

I had that happen before I learned how to install the pushrod tube o rings correctly. You put the top o rings in the head and seat them all the way up. Put the bottom o rings on the push rod tubes. You have to watch them very carefully as you tighten things up. I never get leaks now. But I did the first time I done it. It sucks to pull every thing down again but its a learning experience.

Yeah, I had the orings seated in the retainer and pushed the tubes into them. Blindly this time. Maybe even cut one with the bottom edge of the tube. I'm almost positive this is the problem. Rain just quit. Wiping it all down good again before I start it up but I'm not sure just idling will present the leak. In fact I highly doubt it will build enough pressure.
Fortunately I have 2 more sets of new orings here. Maybe 3. lol

F'k it. I'm almost positive that's what it is. I'm just going to tear it down...again. Get in done. Think I can do this without pulling the carb/intake? I can leave the fuel tank doing the front I'm sure.

I haven't had a sealing problem with the tubes... so far.
But I watched Hammer's video on installing their tube bases.
In that was mentioned a leak there has shown itself almost immediately with them doing the job.

Glad you found it.
Hopefully things will go a little smoother for you from here on.

I must've banged my head good to make a stupid move like that but yeah, I've had my share of issues with this build. I guess it could've been worse. And really only 2 issues I guess but that cam being off a tooth could have been a lot worse. I got lucky on that one.
