The Red Line shockproof is great in the Big Twin Transmissions, not so much in the Sportster Clutch/Primary/Transmission combination.

Yes there was a racing partner of Red Line that used the shockproof in Sportsters, Red Line used to have an article on the web site about Harleys (May still be there somewhere).

There was another thread here recently about Red Line Shockproof. It has some photos of a Sportster clutch that was run with the Shockproof.

I was thinking the same thing when I got my Sportster. I was thinking about running Shockproof Light. I like and use Redlines' Shockproof gear oils, but as Shanneba points out, there's good reason to not use it in a wet clutch primary. The solids accumulate and make a real mess

Thanks Shanneba & Tomcatt , I've got MT-90 redline in gear box , primary in my sporty now feels slightly smoother in shifting than the formula x & clutch feels same, so I'll leave it.

Thanks Painterdude923 good to know.
I used the heavy shockproof in gear box on big twin and ATF Type F , for years and clutch worked well. I have not tested the clutch out yet with the MT-90 Redline but gear box shifting nice.
