I think the throw-out bearing is a lot like shoes. You get what you pay for. You can suffer the failure of a bunch of cheap ones or enjoy the comfort and longevity of the good ones. My FAG 7200B also made the clutch lever pull smoother and lighter. The peace of mind is intangible.

I just bought a FAG 7200B-TVP from Amazon. My goal is to make my bike the most reliable it can be.

At 60,000 miles my throw-out bearing was still fine but I also purchased and installed the FAG 7200-B-XL-TVP. I was interested in doing this with the comments that clutch lever pull is reduced. I do notice a difference and hope this bearing lasts as long as the original.

F.W.I.W. On the concern over the “plastic” in the B-B angular bearing- inside the transmission on both the main and countershafts are a handful of bearings housed in black plastic. I don’t know the composition of them just that if the tranny fluid used doesn’t degrade that plastic then I’m guessing plastic will be okay on the throw out as well, just my 2cents worth.
Additionally, when I lay the new primary chain next to the old one they appear to be exactly the same length,(115,000 miles), and I’m attributing the extra slack adjustment to wear in the plastic shoe plate, this one at approx. 80,000 miles is worn down nearly to the metal backer. A new shoe is going on at this time. Keep it safe and enjoy your holiday season!

Yup. I've had to replace mine twice over the years. Ihave learned that finding where neutral is goes a long ways toward extending throw out bearing life.

Yep, if you sit at stop signs / stop lights etc with the bike in gear and the clutch pulled in instead of sitting in neutral you definitely want the FAG 7200B bearing. Just make sure it's an FAG, not a chinese bearing.
