With all of this talk about 2-1 and 2-2, are there any pro/cons to 2" vs. 1 & 3/4". I currently have non-baffled 1 & 3/4" and was thinking of going with (4")baffled 2".

The opinion of this forum over several years is the 2" pipes are for looks and style only, if you happen to like the looks and style. They absolutely suck for power.

Yeah, I knew they would flow more than the 1 & 3/4", but thought that adding the baffles would help increase the back pressure. Good to know, thanks.

When it comes to Ironhead Sportster parts in general I'd say we are mostly limited by what we can get our hands on new or used. Manufacturers have mostly abandoned us. When choosing a pipe you have to consider how you ride and what mods have been performed in the engine. If you are just tooling around town you may care more about looks than the guys trying for the ET's.
