Forward controls on a 2 into 1 exhaust system.
Has anyone tried or installed forward controls on a XL (roadster for me ) that has a 2 into 1 exhaust system ( D and D bobcat for me)
Don't want to buy forwards if they don't fit with the pipes.

The difference between Rico's bike and your 2016 Roadster will be the brake linkage is a bit different, but probably won't make much difference.
D&D's website seems to indicate they will work fine with all years forward controls. However they do indicate "Also will not fit the Roadster 13" shocks will hit the muffler." There have been guys to fit them with minor modification, but I've never been able to figure out what would hit (I run them with 13"+ shocks on my 2007 1200R mid controls).

I have the 2019 HD Roadster with an RSD Tracker High Pipe (Black Ops Exhaust) 2 into 1.
I had to install a part that moved my shocks 1.5 inches back or during the ride the end of the pipe would rub against the rear shock when it flexed.
I was wondering about forward controls also.
I do not know exactly where the mounts attach and the Roadster's frame modifications that would make installation a no go.
As my pipe is 8-12 inches higher than stock the exhaust up front is not a problem.
Linkages and the changes in the Roadster's frame geometry could be a problem.
Of course like many of us... I bought the WEIRD Sportster. LOL!
There are expensive HD and another top brand that goes for anywhere between $400-$600. A kit that reuses the OEM pedals that is just the mounts and links by themselves for $300-$250. Then there are the Chinese Knock Offs that are clones of the Harley Kit for $100-$150.
