No have not changed them, but did replace the little filter once. I asked the dealership for them once because I thought I lost one, and they couldn't get them for me. I could check ebay and see if I can find them there.

What do you mean "the gaskets are split when I pull the cover off?"
that doesn't sound right.
As John said those o-rings can be a pain. Also double check you don't have
two installed instead of just the one.
I assume you have the OEM one piece push rod tube. The two piece ones can
cause sddition issues.

After talking to the dealer, they have me putting about 2 1/2 quarts of oil in. As far as the split gasket, when I pull the top of the rocker box off the gasket will be broke apart in one spot.

Check the rocker cover with a straight edge. Mine were warped and I trued them up with a mill file.

Do your rocker boxes have the slots noted in this pic?
If so, they are prone to leaks.
There is a service bulletin regarding them for 04-06 models.
