Not sure about venting from the crank side period.

Simple. The trans is sealed. The only pressure you could build is equal to the pressure drop across the breather, which will be minimal. There's very little actual air flow. What difference would that minimal pressure in the trans make?

I'm not sure.
I haven't checked to see what the air pressure is off the tranny vent.
But if that filter gets clogged, the tranny vent would be blocked off.
The positive CC pressure output is higher at idle.
So at a red light sitting there with a clogged filter, you could actually pump pressure into the tranny compartment or vice-versa.
Maybe not worth the trouble but certainly worth the mention.

Bike now spends most of its time over 5800 rpm... Haven't even seen any oil in the atf i run in trans. The filter is 22mm into the top of can there is no back pressure...
