Default Project Bore Snake

Regardless of our personal views on the Iraq 'War', our troops are there on the front lines and they need a few things. Apparently, our troops are not being properly supplied. Some background...Awhile back, I posted an email from a friend who is in his second tour in Iraq. One of the 'things of need' he mentions is having batteries to use for the sights on their weapons. I found out that the battery needed is the 123A 3 volt Lithium. Another very important piece of needed equipment is a gun cleaning kit. I found this website (among others) with this offer....for the donation of your choice, they will send the following..

What is in a "Bore Snake Kit"?

Each "Snake Kit" includes 2 bore snakes. Those who nominate a US Serviceman for a "Snake Kit" actually choose 8 bore snakes in all - one kit for the nominee and 3 kits for the nominee to give to buddies. The 8 Bore Snakes may be comprised of any combination of:

- 5.56mm (.22 Cal.) Bore Snake (for M16/M4 series weapons)
- 7.62mm (.30 Cal.) Bore Snake (for M14/M40/M60/M240b series weapons)
- 9mm (.35 Cal.) Bore Snake (for M92 sidearm)
- 11.5mm (.45 Cal.) Bore Snake (for M1911A1 sidearm)
- 12.7mm (.50 Cal.) Bore Snake (for .50 BMG weapons)
- 12 Gauge Bore Snake (for shotguns)

The website is http://www.projectboresnake.com/

Also, with the coming summer months, baby wipes, foot powder, waterless soaps, basic things of a portable personal hygiene nature will become very important. Beef jerky, protein bars, Gatorade® powder, prepaid phone cards (100 min. and up) are also desired.
Body armor is always a good choice.

Last time, I got 2 dozen lithium batteries, my wife and I made 4 dozen Cookies (peanut butter cookie wrapped around a mini-Snicker) and off they went to Jeremy in Iraq. Jeremy and his squad appreciated it very much.
I'm ordering 5- 7.62mm 2 - 9mm and 1 12.7mm kits to send to Jeremy and his squad.

By the way, the donation of your choice is tax deductible.
http://www.eguns.com/ also has a program to send Care packages.

Ride safe
Cookiey

Exclamation Free Admission to Parks!

Here is a link for free admission to your choice of a few amusement parks.

http://www.herosalute.com

Parks included are Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, Sesame Place, Adventure Island and Water Country USA.

To qualify for the program, you must be "active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or a National Guardsman."

Admission is free for the service member and three direct dependents (spouse, kids, etc.).

The offer is for one-day admission to one park of your choice, once a calendar year.

I took my family to Busch Gardens last year and I'm going to SeaWorld in July.

The savings are huge...4 free tickets! Check out the website.
