a new one of those machined for the new valve would be easy. probably could increase flow rate by not using the banana slots and going with shower head type porting by increasing over-all flow area.
if it were mine, exactly what i would do. as another option is a 1/2" parker wafer check with or without the 1psi cracking pressure spring.

just caught a brain fart
i believe i can test the installed ball/check with the pre-lube tool i posted. all it would require is a leak proof fitting and a vac pump. if it holds a vac, it will hold oil!
