Its been a while guys.
I have sorted out my issue on this bike.
My final recipe is

44 slow jet
3 washers under stock 1200s needle
3 turns out

Runs like a champ with the k and n filter back in place

I get the feeling i had a bad run of gas.
I figured i would re run my testing before i gave in and returned the stock balanced pipe headers.

I dropped to the 44 pilot and re added the third washer tbenwent for a long ride. After a while i gave her a little tweak and it was like riding a new bike.

So now i have my general tune fixed i will now re fit my balance headers and tweak her again if i need to.

I presume adding the balance pipe back will need a little adjustment?

Thanks

How do your plugs look with three washers under the stock needle?

Dunno, just use the idle drop method on the mixture screw.
