I updated my shocks from stock to Progressive 444's. I had to use a few washers for spacers, luckily it wasn't a show bike prior to the install

Scuzeee; what kind of exhaust is that? Is it quiet or very loud or louder than stock but not really obnoxious?

Today I didn't do nothing for the Sporty. I started gathering wood for the building of the ark and gathering in the animals two by two.

It's a Samson exhaust for a rubbermount that I made work. I bought the bike with drag pipes, it is quieter than they were. I'm not sure how it compares to stock. I wouldn't describe it as quiet however.

This weekend I took my wheels and new tires (Metzler Marathon) to Bartels HD for mounting and balancing. Changed to a 19" front wheel, instead of the stock 21". Got the front wheel back on the bike. To me it just looks so much better! The rear wheel will remain off while I work on installing a new rear fender (to replace a damaged one), HD leather saddlebags and a customized vintage Tour-Pak with custom luggage rack/mount that is nearing completion.

Today I got my mid controls mounted (it had forward controls). Also replaced the clutch lever (the black had worn through) and cable, and swapped the clutch actuator for one of those easy-pull units made in Germany.

Mine is a 2006 883/1200c

I may want to copy cat your idea if you don't mind. For Black Betty, my 98 883 chopper project.
Please post up a picture when you get them on the bike!

Hi Cotton,

Those are my stock rims.

Working on getting them on the bike now, but I seem to have misplaced the rear axle adjuster and cover.... I really want to get a rolling chassis soon, so I can start on the electric stuff.

Maybe this weekend if I find those parts.

Hmmm...I think all of mine have more spokes than yours. Is there some year specific ranges that have less spokes than others? Always learning here..

Still want to see them pics when you get it up and rolling!
