Having been talked into a new wiring harness on the 77, I won't buy outside US made, again. I have had to rewire around several systems. Chiwanese wire is not that great yet. Its brittle and soy is in the insulation, so mice and bugs like it too.

good point!
you must use automotive grade wire which is a cross-linked polymer insulation for heat and chemical resistance.
color code is nice and i kept to it BUT, i did one up on it. since we have to number the pedal rods on the steel guitars so the owner knows what goes where, each pedal can have diff adjustments for string pull and some can do a raise and a lower, i used the plastic numbers on each wire end after it is run which corresponds to the terminal number so it is easy without having to look up color. i use the through number label and not snap on or adhesive types. since they are a stretch on, they stay where put.

"bustert" I like your 'one up'! Where are these available? They would've been great back when I rewired the dash in my '59 Chev pickup and traced out the vacuum lines in both my '70 and '71 Cadillac's climate controls. Little pieces of masking tape with hand writing on them, suck!
