For 1999-2003 Tachometer (67042-99):
Connector Housing P/N is: 72451-00
Socket Pins P/N is: ........ 72452-00

However - Are you sure the problem isn't just a matter of tightening up the pin in the housing? Most times, there is a locking mechanism (little tab) on the pin that keeps it tight in the housing when you push the connector onto the device (tach). The other thing that happens is that the pin (socket here, right) sometimes gets loose and needs a bit of a squeeze to reform it to tightly grip the pin that fits into it.

Yea, I briefly attempted that last night but I was rather fed up with it at that time and I didn't want to jack something up without taking my time etc. I'm gonna revisit that and see if I can tune the connection and get it working. Trying to find a 72451-00 is near impossible so far.

UPDATE:

So its not the wiring harness side of the connection, it was infact the connector on the tach side of the connection. I'm thinking there is possibly a broken solder joint under the connector at the circuit board. I was able to manipulate and wiggle the connector a few times to make it function correctly but then after a few tries it stopped all together.

Grabbed my buddies tach off the FXD and threw it on my harness, absolutely no problems, went for a quick rip down the street and everything functioned as normal.
