As the SP link mentions - those accessible correction factors must be altered based on the % of difference there is between the 'hidden settings' of the ratios and the actual ratios you are using. I have PV on my 2107 and I know you don't mess with the "gear ratios" table if you want to have your gear indicator working. You make "Speedometer Calibration" (VSS) table changes to correct for changes in the final drive sprockets and/or rear tire diameter. That value basically converts transmission output shaft rpm into vehicle speed.

Note that even with a 1200 map Shahyaans' speedo is still reading ok, only the gear indicator isn't working.

That’s kind of what I understood as the gearing on the 1200s are different only due to sprockets and or wheels. In the old maps the vss is 2190 which is the same on the current map.
