Thanks for your comments.
I started building a new generator. I have all the components except the voltage regulator. The machining is almost done.

I found the first owner. He wrote back to my letter. During the conversation I learned many interesting facts about this motorcycle. The motorcycle had a blue color, a double seat and a large fuel tank. It was stolen in 1973 and found in 2006. The first owner has only driven a few times. Later the motorcycle was stolen.
I want to thank Frank for contact.

Hi,
Good job. A beautiful bike and runs very well.

That car was close to a head on crash with you at 4:56. Seems he needed to pull his car towards the other two vehicles in an attempt to get back into his lane. Even though you had moved to the other side of your lane it is a close call.

He must not have seen you due to the sun behind you as you both appraoched each other. Ride safe.

I installed a new generator and voltage regulator. I am still waiting for a new ring gear to mount a new high-torque starter. I hunt for cheap R5 cams.

We are waiting for the spring.

Bikeaholic You are right, it was close. I had 105mph on the clock.

dont know if anyone discussed it but the damage on the piston looks to me like the oil was run dry and it overheated. so if you do not abuse the bike it should not happen again.
