Question Am I looking for Trouble ?

Hi all. My 883/1250 with powervision,Big Sucker A/C and rush slip ons started backfiring and surging at low speeds. Code po 131. I changed the front o2 sensor and still had the problem.
Now three weeks later and frustrated I decided to throw on my old X14IED from nightrider.
Bike is running like it never ran before OMG!!! [powervison still connected]
Can I keep running this combination? what's the worst can happen
GURUS PLEASE HELP.
Thanks

well if you biased the o2 to read down the middle, probably forever. the ecu can only act upon data given it and if it stays locked so does the feedback. i am not sure what the x14ied is inside but the o2 can be tricked with a diode since it has a constant voltage drop of .6volt.
where you get into trouble is when you have fore and aft o2. the ecu compares the two to tell if the cat is still meowing!

did you flash the computer with the base tune the company gave you? - I bought my 1250 kit from nrhs and they sent me a base tune to run and then you run the auto tune program for some time to dial it in.

Exactly what I did. Bike was running fine untill it stripped a base stud hole on the rear cylinder. Repaired stud with timesert and re assembled . That is where my problems started.
I did not change tune. but kept getting code PO 131 backfiring and low speed cut cut off.

Your original O2 sensor was probably not bad, it was indicating the front cylinder was running lean. Did you check your intake manifold seals for leaks after your rear cylinder repair?

The X14IEDs are changing the voltage the ECU sees causing the ECU to add more fuel eliminating some of your lean condition. If you have an intake leak you will be pulling in unfiltered air into the cylinder.

it sounds like you now have a leak at the exhaust gasket which is throwing off the 02 sensor reading
