Default 08 XL 1200 C sudden rear cylinder dropping out

I am a first time owner and also new to the forum , I was out riding the other day and the bike ran fine all day. I stopped on the way home at a store and when I left my rear cylinder would fire and then drop out. I've replaced the plugs and the rear O2 sensor but no change. if I take it for a ride it misses on the low end, once I shift into 2nd everything seems fine. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Is the engine light on?
Did you have any codes that made you think the O2 Sensor was not working?

How to check for DTC (codes)

Welcome to the forums
Has there been any changes made to the bike or is it all stock?
Any type of tuning device being used? XIEDs, Fuel pack etc.

A short to ground in the (PK/O) wire (front O2) and (PK/GN) wire (rear O2) will cause the engine to run rich. Check your O2 sensor connections for corrosion or bent pins. Maybe even check the ECM connector for corrosion.

A Loose/leaking exhaust: This can cause a poor ground connection for the O2 sensor or allow fresh air into the exhaust system. If fresh air enters exhaust system, the O2 sensor will read a lean condition, causing the system to go rich.

Leaking injectors: This causes fuel imbalance and poor idle quality due to different air/fuel ratios in each cylinder. To check for leaky injectors, first remove the air box and air filter. Then, with the throttle wide open, turn IGN ON for 10 seconds and then OFF for 10 seconds five consecutive times. Replace the fuel injector if there is any evidence of raw fuel in the bores.

(I would probably try running a tank of premium gas with about 4 - 6 ounces of Chevron Techron added to see if the injectors can be cleaned)

I bought it from a dealer used, as far as I know it is stock and the only thing done to it is the baffles have been removed. I did notice some corrosion around my fuse box. I am going to get contact cleaner for that. I will check what you suggested. Thank you.
