Thanks, I am running just 1 plug.. But I want to run both of them, I've read many articles of the benefit of dual plug heads, so I'll give em a shot.. besides, I do have the high compression and high dome pistons, so maybe I Can get better efficiency with the 2nd plug.. The only way to really tell is to try them, right ???

Lightbulb

Ya know, Buell didn't think the 2nd plug was necessary, and I've seen alot of 883 Flattrack bikes running those "S" heads, but every one I saw had the 2nd spark plug hole Plugged !
PS- Buell ran those heads on their S1's until the X1 lightning debuted in 2000- which used the Thunderstorm heads(also developed by Buell First), anyway, my point was, buell probably tested the dual plug version - but decided not to use it.... So I'm just saying.

definitely something to think about.. Regardless, I want to go to a single fire setup, The only difference is going to be the coils.

OOPS- I was wrong(slightly) ! The Lightning head did debute in 1996 with the S1 Lightning, but was replaced in 1998 by the Thunderstorm head on the S1W and S3/S3T (the S1 and the M2 retained the Lightning heads in 1998).

My Bad on the Head history, I looked up the correct info posted by Aaron Wilson elsewhere in this forum.

So Chicago HD claims to still have them, that's good. Interesting to note that they sell the SE 7500 module cheaper than the stock replacement module, $104 vs $180.

I just ordered a Module from Eric at Chicago Harley. They don't have them on hand. He has to get them from a supplier. Nice dude and it's only a couple of days for the order.

Cool. Wonder if the "supplier" is the aforementioned Vintage Parts, since they are supposedly unavailable from the MoCo.
