I'm more inclined to seek out an early ironhead ( post 1967) with an electric starter. I did have a 2013 Sportster 48 which actually was a very fun bike to ride. However, I find that the new bikes lack the soul and pizazz of the old timers. I love early Sportsters! I've already had a member potentially offer me a swap for a model H if my bike doesn't sell. I do own a 1977 FXE as well which I think I will be able to take short trips with in about a month or so ( if this damn condition of mine improves enough).

Yes--that was the selling price. I am a little disappointed though given that there were over 2,000 views and about 200 watchers. The bidding was pretty steady until the last day, wherein there was only one bid in the last 10 hours of the auction. I think that the end of the auction being on July 3rd had something to do with it--big travel and planning day for the Holiday. Oh well, it is what it is. A fellow from Michigan bought it . I strongly recommended that he join the Forum as this is his first iron head.
