Perhaps simply a sticky in the existing EFI forum with the 2014 changes would be beneficial.
Quite possibly, but this thread isn't the place to do it. This is a suggestion that we have a new section for 2014+ bikes.

Start a thread in the EFI Rubber Mounts section to list changes with 2014+ bikes if you like. If it gets significant postings, it can be made a stcky.

What "shortcomings".

You could call it the 2014 on Catalytic Sportster sticky.

Perhaps we should have a new section under 'Electrical' for CAN Bus related issues?

Did the 49 State 2013s all have catalysts as well? Perhaps a better thread title might be Gen. II Rubbermount EFI issues.

I like the idea of a can bus section under electrical because it is very specific, but I think a 14+ section is good because like Don stated, it's a Gen 2 bike. Besides looks and the air cleaner, a lot has changed.

No, they don't.

Do the bikes having catalysts make that much difference?

For those running their bikes stock, well, they just work. Many people of course change the mufflers to aftermarket ones. Result: no cats, and same as pre '14 bikes. So the O² sensors are a different size. Is that really a significant change?

Some HDI bikes (eg: all UK bikes) have had catalysts since 2004, but no one thought that we needed a new section, or a special sticky thread, to cater for them.

I think that highlighting the changes in stickies for the appropriate sub forum would be a good idea.
While some things have changed. The majority of parts are still interchangeable with earlier models. A majority of the way things are fixed, diagnosed are the same as well..having a separate section can make people miss out on a lot of information. ..

Canbus is a big deal. So a subsection in the electrical section wouldn't hurt. But the rest could be just stickies

I agree. That's what I see as the best, and most sensible, way forward.
