Default Stock mirrors. Can you see behind you?

I have an 2006 XL1200R. The mirrors are a joke. All I can see in them are my arms. I've ordered a set of longer stem mirrors to see what I can see. How are the stock mirrors on your Sportster?

On my 2005 883c, I couldn't see nuttin until I put the mirror extensions on. Then it was fairly decent.

I can see to the sides OK.

For me to see if anyone is behind me, I need to move my arms.

YMMV.

I still have the stock mirrors on my 05 custom. I can see fine with them, but I'm not that big...maybe that makes a difference.

my upper arms block my view, I either have to REALLY move my head, or turn around, which I know is the proper thing to do, and I do that when changing lanes etc, but for the routine regular rear scan, my mirrors are somewhat inconvenient. Longer stems are definitely the order for me!

Motorcycle mirrors have always irritated me. I can see behind me on either side but not directly to my rear. I didn't even know they made extensions until I read it here. I am going to get me some!

Get some little teeny tiny teardrop mirrors like mine.....you'll LOVE the stockers after that!
