If you want to speed things up,
You could always take a pair of pruning clippers and lop it off,
That would get you admitted for the "gardening accident".

Heh! Don't prune it close! leave enough for a tech to close it up nice.

We just had our first snow this AM. Not thinking about riding at all...
Even test rides are hellish, I don't have the right gear.

Have a nice heated shop for the race cars so I have been staying busy (warm) over there.
Mustang is ready just finishing new headers.
The Dragster is a runner but new to the stable and needs some tightening up.
The Willys is waiting for the machine shop to finish the short block, I have almost finished the EFI box I am building.

We would have seen each other at Famoso this March but Alan is chicken to go with an untested car. I'm still pushing him but I don't expect him to give in.

I'd like to go just to spectate but not without a motorhome. But on the same hand, I wouldn't drive all that way without dragging a car (wouldn't burn much more fuel). Alan's just chicken, he has to think he'll set the world on fire. I told him there is not a better place to test the car, and he could loose first round even with a perfect car.

Maybe 2021. We may have to reconfigure the car to fit a class. I've found many classes don't allow electronics. He has most of the parts to put an Enderle type system on it but he let me talk him into doing electronics. (Not realizing a lot of the classes don't allow it.) We could always do the 10.5 Outlaw but I'm not sure we have enough motor for that and it's 1/8 mile.

RE: the toe, I still don't understand why they left it, if it had no bone. Unless it was a wait and see how much of it was viable and then graft a bone in it. Sounds like it was pretty mashed up and they weren't sure they would get circulation going to it.
It's all moot at this point anyway once it started turning colors.

Hang in there.
