Smile 1990 Sportster 1200 clutch question!

Hello everyone.

I recently did the clutch in my 1990 sportster 1200. It rides great and a lot better than before, I used the Barnett extra plate clutch kit to get rid of the grenade ring. After a few rides, I noticed that when I’m in first gear, specifically at a stop, when I release the clutch to get going, I hear a slight clutch grab that sounds like a small grinding sound. It’s only when I wanna get up and go quickly from a stop. If I let the clutch out slowly and go off on an easy start, I don’t hear the noise. What could this be? Clutch cable needs to be adjusted? Clutch in primary case needs to be adjusted? (I adjusted it per the manual, counter clockwise until light seated and then clockwise a 1/4 turn) or could my primary chain be to tight? Any suggestions or experience with this issue is greatly appreciated!

The "grenade plate" in 4 speed Sportsters is different than the infamous one in 1991+ 5 speeds and I don't know if it is as prone to failure...but anyway when it is deleted it can sometimes lead to noise however that is a squeal (sounds like a slipping fan belt) rather than a grinding noise.
