Ken, my pulse rises at the sight of those signs! Thanks too for sharing and the history lesson.

Glad to have you along, Paul...

Now if only we didn't have to stop so you can chat up every pretty girl we see doing yard work or stopping at every pig farm we pass so you can find out if they're giving away FREE BACON!

I hope you're healing up ... make the most of the cold weather by doing rehab for next Spring... It's only 5 months away...

Rehab going well, did almost 200 miles yesterday, cold and damp, ugh. Not using electrics yet, that’s usually around the 20’s and 30’s. Bacon, yummmm!

I was out riding this week on a bright day with temps in the mid-60's.
I rode about 100 miles, passing fields being harvested, thru forests with falling leaves and along many of my favorite roadways.

But I also took a few new turns and this pic is on one of those.
There are a few other pics in My Motorcycle Chronicles.

I was out riding on Thanksgiving Day!

I stopped to check out the old train station at New Oxford, PA.

The forecast was for mid- to upper-50's and I was looking forward to enjoying some more riding before the end of the month.

You can gobble up the other pictures and hear about the fun I had by checking out My Motorcycle Chronicles...

Thanks again Ken, I enjoyed that. Currently installing a new primary chain and tensioner assembly, then more roadwork. We had snow today, sigh.

I made my first ride in December.

The details of my ride are in My Motorcycle Chronicles.

If you've been following along on my rides, you know that I've ridden in every month this year.
Most months I documented multiple rides unless it was just too cold or rainy or blisteringly hot.
And I made a few rides where I took no pictures - but really enjoyed being in the wind.

I have over 180 pictures in My Motorcycle Chronicles for this year. How many more I add,
before the year runs out, will depend on the weather and the number of rides I get.

I hope you have enjoyed riding along this year. I always enjoy hearing from you.
Some posted comments on similar experiences and a few of you posted that you've been to some
of the places I've pictured. I hope I've inspired others to get out and ride more, because there
are always interesting places to visit. Of course, our social butterfly, Sportsterpaul, has commented
regularly, in between his body and bike repairs. Thanks, Paul.

Riding with family and friends is great. I've enjoyed my rides with my brother and other local friends. I hope
next year to add a few more folks to my list of ride-alongs & maybe some more local XLF members.
I prefer riding in a small group (3-4-5) and usually plan a specific fun route for everyone to enjoy.

As we've passed Thanksgiving and are heading for Christmas, count your blessings from this past year.
Find a way to pay forward your good fortune. Try to put your bad times in a better perspective.
Work at being personally healthy. Find a way to be kind and empathetic to others.
A positive attitude will go a long way toward finding positive experiences in life.

Enjoy being in the wind whenever possible.

Another nice one Ken, one day I might get the hang of picture telling a ride. Another Pennsylvania ride posted, Allegheny II, keep it in mind as the date approaches.

Want the opportunity to wish you and yours the very best in this Holiday season, may it be happy and healthy!
Keep it safe.

Looking South at the Susquehanna River.

I got out for a ride last week. The temperature went up to the mid-50's. I thought I better get a ride in because the temps were predicted to drop back into the 40's for the near future.

As always, you can read the rest of my ride report at My Motorcycle Chronicles. The aquaduct is interesting.

If you've been riding along with me this year, I hope you've enjoyed my effort to take you on interesting rides and show you some of the south-central Pennsylvania sights & sites that I've seen and visited. If you're a member on XLF, you can always drop a note in here if you have questions or comments. I feel very blessed with enjoyable areas to ride.

This might be my last ride for the year. We'll see.

If I don't post again on this thread, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Well - That WAS my last ride this year!

The weather didn't cooperate to get out again. I hate riding when the roads are wet
and the bike gets grit & grime. I don't want to have to clean that off.

So, I'll wish everyone ............................
Happy New Year!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Look for my 2022 Ride Report Thread - It's supposed to rain for the next couple days and I need
to get my rear tire replaced, so I definitely won't get a New Year's Day ride next year...
